How it started.

In the annual 2012 Masonic quiz, one of the questions was "What is a Travelling Gavel"? This aroused a certain amount of interest, and someone suggested that they should start one for the Province. WBro Steve Duffey set to and produced the gavel, along with its case, which started on its travels. It was first claimed by Marquess of Ripon lodge. The winner of the 2016 quiz was once again Marquess of Ripon.
